3) Gateway Classic Cars is excited to offer this show stopper vehicle, a 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Pro Street, to our Philadelphia showroom! This beast is everything it looks like; mean and ready to eat some asphalt! Not only is it fast and loud, but its gorgeous tri-coat pearl white paint with custom ghost flames make it stand out among all other pro street cars! Crank up this baby up and listen closely to the supercharged 509 big block, if your ears aren't ringing already! This monster engine has a Weiand 6-71 Blower with dual Holley 850 carbs! Want more? You got it! Additional engine components include GM steel crankshaft, cast iron Merlin heads, Manley steel rods and a Mallory distributor! New Hooker Headers with racing mufflers exit in front of the massive rear Mickey Thompson tires (33 x 21.5 x 15). Don't worry about accommodating the large rubbers as the rear has been fully tubbed! Need to stop? No problem! Aerospace rear disk brakes get the job done! The interior on this 1972 Chevy Corvette features a fierce black interior with leather bucket seats, 4-point roll cage as well as new Autometer gauges, switches and a custom dashboard! Additional options on this awesome car are T-Tops, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Telescopic Wheel and Aluminum wheels! It doesn't get any better than that! You need to get behind the wheel of this car to feel the power and presence of this titan! To view this 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Pro Street greater detail, including HD pictures and an HD video, visit or our Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ. Thousands of dollars invested in new parts that I will list below. Over 70K Invested in build. 67,000 miles. June 2, 2010. 1) Beautiful 1972 Big Block Pro Street T-Top Corvette. The last year with the chrome bumpers. This amazing car has a 454 block, stroked to 502 cu. All forged internals, crane gold roller rockers, roller cam, 10.5 to 1 compression. Has a Weiand 8-71 Blower with twin Holley 750 carbs. Hooker long tube headers (Jet-Hot Coated) with chrome sidepipes. Professionally back halved with a Ford 9 rear end w/4.88 gears. Turbo 400 transmission with a 3800 stall torque converter. Pearl white with ghost flames. Newly recovered black leather seats, new top of the line simpson cam-lock harnesses. Thousands of dollars invested in new parts that I will list below. Why build a car like this for 70K or more whan you can save thousands on this one! I was told the original builder of this car spent close to 70k building it. I have put another 10k + into it with the Blower/Carbs and additional new parts. New parts: Custom Jim Davis Racing dual pass twin core aluminum radiator ($1,400), MDS high torque starter, Billet Vacuum Pump (For power brakes), Edelbrock High Flow endurashine water pump, March billet brackets PS, Alternator, Mini high output chrome alternator, Wieand Blower Hat, MSD Ignition with timing retard dial, Simpson Cam-Lock harness, Auto-meter Gauges, B&M remote transmission oil cooler w/fan. The car has been sitting for a year so the carbs might need some sorting. This car was my dream but my house is sold and I won't have room for it in Amarillo. The head-lights & tail-lights are working, not the turn signals. Vacuum canisters to raise front headlights have been removed as I was in the process of converting over to electric lifts. Horn does not work. Has wipers but not connected to the motor (not sure if the wiper motor works). The engine has Merlin Square Port heads. As you can see in the picture it has a valve train girdle. The new pictures also show the billet vac pump for the power brakes. It has 4 wheel disk brakes (Aerospace on the rear). Rims are Center Line Racing. Back Tires are Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro 33 x 21.5 x 15. Front Tires are Mickey Thompson Sportsman 28 x 7.5 x 15. Door Jam trim Tag shows Trim 421 Paint 973. Mallory Distributor and Blaster II Coil. Color codes from the owner. April 12, 2010. |
